This will be Chad’s second year serving as principal at HCS. Chad has his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Evangel University, with a Minor in Biblical Studies. He also has his Master of Science in Educational Administration from the University of Central Missouri. He is a Harrisonville native, and has a heart to see the school make an impact in our community.
Assistant Principal/ Public Relations
Kelly has served as a teacher, board member, and volunteer at the school over the years. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, as well as a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. This is her second year serving as Assistant Principal.
Keith served as principal at HCS for 13 years and associate pastor at Harrisonville Community Church for the last 24 years. He has an extensive background in counseling & will bring his love for Christian education to the school this coming year. We are thankful to have him on our team.
HCC Youth Pastor
Brian is the youth pastor at Harrisonville Community Church. He has his B.S. in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Psychology and Sociology from Southwest Baptist University. Brian also graduated from Drury University Police Academy in 2006 and worked in law enforcement from 2006-2010. He was a corporal on the force and worked with the DUI program, Special Response Team, & Drug Enforcement Task Force. He also taught the DARE program.
Kara has been serving at HCS in one capacity or another since 1995. Kara holds a bachelor’s degree in Science from Southwest Missouri State University. Kara will continue serving in the front office of the school and is a huge asset to our staff and parents.
This is Candice's first year in the front office at HCS. She brings several years experience to this role having worked previously as an Administrative Assistant. She is excited to serve the students and families at Harrisonville Christian School.
Preschool - Level 1
Jennifer brings over 20 years of early childhood experience to the HCS/KK staff. She has served at HCS in several teaching/aiding roles over the years and will be the Level 1 teacher for preschool again this year.
Preschool - Level 2/ Kinder Kastle Director
Cindy Payne has 25 years experience in early childhood classrooms. She taught at Kinder Kastle from 1998-2007 & returned last year as the Level 2 teacher. Cindy will be teaching the Level 2 preschool students, and serving as the director of Kinder Kastle.
This year is Gail’s 19th year in early childhood education. She served as a teacher/director for our Kinder Kastle from 1991 to 2004, and returned last year to HCS. Gail will be serving as our kindergarten teacher this coming year and is excited to bring her many years of experience into the classroom.
Michelle will be beginning her fourth year at HCS. She taught as the 5th Grade homeroom teacher before she moved to first grade during the 2017-2018 school year. She graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement. She has taught in various levels from preschool to 6th grade in both public and Christian schools including home schooling her own children part-time.
Katelynn is a graduate from College of the Ozarks with her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. She has 5 years teaching experience and taught kindergarten at HCS last year. She has taught second grade before and is excited to move to that level at HCS this year!
Stacy came to HCS in 2009 and taught 13 years beforehand at public and Christian schools. She received both her Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and Masters of Arts in Reading Education from UMKC. She has taught in most grades over the years, including third grade for three years. She is excited to return to the third grade classroom this year.
Kim has 28 years of teaching experience in Christian schools. She took a few years off from teaching, but missed being in the classroom. She has her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education & Special Education from Central Missouri State University. She taught 2nd grade last year at HCS and is excited to move to the fourth grade position, where she taught several years in the past.
Alex has a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Math & Science from Park University. Alex has four years teaching experience in 5th-8th grade classrooms. This is his first year serving at HCS. Mr. Hall will also be supervising Before Care for our students.
7th/8th Grade Homeroom
Hanna is a graduate from the University of Central Missouri with her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. She is a Harrisonville native, loves middle school, and is excited to serve her second year at HCS!
7/8 Bible, History, and ELA
Judy brings over 24 years of teaching experience with her to HCS. She has her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History from Calvary Bible College. She also has a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Calvary.
Jenny has been teaching at HCS since 2014. She has a Bachelor's degree from Pensacola Christian College in Theatre Education with Music as her second teaching field.
Carla Simpson will be teaching all Art classes at HCS this year. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art with an emphasis in Ceramics from Southwest Baptist University. This is Carla’s second year serving at HCS.
This is Jane's second year at HCS. She brings over 30 years of teaching experience to our band program. Jane has a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Central Methodist College, and a Master's degree of Music in Tuba Performance from UMKC.
Library / Digital Skills
Davette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from UMKC. She has served as the Cass County Public Library Youth Services Coordinator since 2014. This is her second year at HCS.
Traci has served in several volunteer positions through the church and school over the years. She has worked with elementary students through her previous position as the director of Children's Ministry. Traci has also worked with middle/high school students in her church youth groups. She taught physical education at HCS before she started her family & is excited to return to this position next year.
Ginger attended Baker University and received her BS in Elementary Education and Psychology with a Minor in Chemistry, Math, and Biology. She will be teaching Pre-Algebra & Algebra to our junior high students this year.
