Alumni, Chris Buerge, has been hired as the HCS Junior High soccer coach. Chris brings in years of soccer experience playing at HCS, Harrisonville High School, and recently Hesston College. What a great opportunity for our student-athletes!
Coach Buerge wanted to pass on a few announcements…
“Players need to begin hydrating by only drinking water, and no pop. They are expected to bring their own water bottles and soccer balls. They will be expected to have soccer cleats (no toe spike or metal spike), shin guards and something to hold them up, whether it’s tape or socks
I will also want them to start doing toe touches, 100 each day. If they are not sure what that is they can google “toe touches with soccer ball” or go to this website https://www.youtube.
Also, I want them to juggle the ball with their feet, trying to get as many as they can in a row without it touching the ground. 10 in a row the first day, then 20 the 2nd 30 the third etc.
Also, please share this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?
Tryouts will begin the week of August 28th.
